Since 1997 the Wooden Bat Classic has had players from more than 30 states and several foreign countries participate in this week long event. Players from Argentina, Canada, Germany, Portugal and Russia have given the Wooden Bat Classic an international flavor.
Most games are played at the Terry Park Complex east of downtown Fort Myers where baseball has been played since 1926 when Connie Mack brought the Philadelphia Athletics there for spring training. Teams are guaranteed 7 games (weather permitting) between Monday and Friday with championship games played on Saturday.
Each year over 200 players make the journey to participate in the Wooden Bat Classic and enjoy the 70+ degree temperatures. Plan to join us January 18th-24th, 2009 in Fort Myers for a great week of sunshine and baseball !!!
