Welcome to Bob Wagner's Wooden Bat Classic website. The Wooden Bat Classic (WBC) is a tournament where players of varied skill levels over 30 yrs. of age can play baseball in the gulf coast city of Fort Myers, FL during the last week of January. Participants can come as free agents or with a group of other friends/players who form the core of a team.

Games are played at the Terry Park Complex east of downtown Fort Myers where baseball has been played since 1926 when Connie Mack brought the Philadelphia Athletics there for spring training. Teams are guaranteed 7 games (weather permitting) with championship playoff games played in both the Cy Young and Red Oldham divisions. (See the rules page for division differences.)

Since 1997 the Wooden Bat Classic tournaments have had players participate from more than 30 states and several foreign countries including Argentina, Canada, Germany, Portugal and Russia have given the Wooden Bat Classic for an international flavor.

Each year over 200 players make the journey to participate in the Ft. Myers Wooden Bat Classic and enjoy the 70+ degree temperatures. Plan to join us January 22nd-29th, 2012 in Fort Myers for a great week of sunshine and baseball !!!

SUCCESS!!! SUCCESS!!!

Wooden Bat Classic and Legends of Baseball thank all the players who participated in the first Southwest Florida Spring Fling tournament in Fort Myers, FL.
