Welcome to Bob Wagner's Wooden Bat Classic website. The Wooden Bat Classic (WBC) is a tournament where players of varied skill levels over 30 yrs. of age can play baseball in the Gulf coast city of Fort Myers, FL during the last week of January or in "The Biggest Little City In The World", Reno, NV in early October.
Since 1997 the Wooden Bat Classic tournaments have had players from more than 30 states and several foreign countries participate. Players from Argentina, Canada, Germany, Portugal and Russia have given the Wooden Bat Classic an international flavor.
Participants can come as free agents or with a group of other friends/players who form the core of a team.
Our games take place at the Golden Eagle Regional Park located in Reno's “sister city" of Sparks, NV. Built in 2008, Golden Eagle is a state of the art complex with all-weather synthetic turf fields. Teams are guaranteed 7 games, weather permitting.
The first three Reno Wooden Bat Classic events took place from 1998 through 2000, run by Bob Wagner himself. Now nearly ten years later the time is right to get reacquainted with Reno, Nevada, "The Biggest Little City in the World”.
